EASTER?

What does it Mean!

The world is finding excuses everyday to get away from God, from Jesus and from the Holy Bible, because they want to live their lives their own ways without Him interfering, just the same way Jesus was misunderstood by Israel over two thousand years ago?

What they wanted was to be delivered from Roman occupation, today people want the freedom to sin, dishonesty, lies and sexual deviancy and so they misunderstand that Jesus is our suffering servant, who has come to invite us home to eternity by His blood making that atonement for sin, if we would surrender in repentance to Him and discover His forgiveness!

It is getting harder to preach or share the Gospel with many people being offended, while others find the language offensive and they complain to undermine the truth, since most today in the Kosmon are living in the delusions of the age!

Psalm 51:1-5, Isaiah 53:1-12, 2 Corinthians 2:14-16, Hebrews 2:15-18, 4:12-13, 9:26-27, 10:10, 15, Jude 1:6-7.

EASTER!

This year it is split into Three.

One has passed, the Jewish Passover is to come and the Eastern orthodox will be still much later this year, but the message is still relevant and many people are seeing the growth of Islamic influences more so in Europe and they now fear that Christians will be left behind with the many secular changes in laws and the taking away or watering down on the emphasis of Easter?

We as believers know the story well of the cross and the resurrection of Jesus but there is one area that one has never noticed being covered in the events of Good Friday and that is the darkness that fell over Jerusalem and Israel as Jesus hung dying on the cross for all human failures!

Matthew 27:45, Mark 15:33, Luke 23:44, John 3:19, 8:12, 12:35, Acts 26:18, 2 Corinthians 4:6.

When we come away at the end after Jesus death a Roman soldier believed and how many were to follow on that day alone and still do to this day?

Easter. Two.

The Resurrection!

Jesus in not dead like the heads of other religions past and present, He is alive with His Father in Heaven awaiting that great day of His return, when those who refused to believe in Him will see Him and hide!

The rising if Jesus from the grave is the essential factor for our salvation plan, since we rise with Him in believers baptism to the promised eternal life!

Jesus always hinted to His disciples the way that he was going to die and be raised on the third day!

Jesus spent forty days on earth appearing to over five hundred people, apart from His disciples and then in the Ascension he return t heaven?

In the resurrection we are freed from the curse of the law and we are free from the sting of death!

Mark 8:31, 9:30-31, Acts 2:31-33, Romans 6:5-11.

Easter. One.

Purchased from the curse of the Law!

Sometimes the message of Easter can be too focused on the Cross and all other events, but not on some of the essential doctrines of the full meaning of the work that Jesus undertook for us by his sacrifice and the importance of that?

The Old Testament is full of being redeemed, since this was both a business transaction and that of keeping a family together, the Hebrew sense of the word Ga’al Strongs H1350 is that of buying back, while in the New Testament the Greek Agorazo Strongs G59 is purchase.

But the work of Jesus on the stake/cross/tree was also to set us free from the curse of the law and for more so the Gentiles to receive the Holy Spirit, that would break the animosity with the Jews, sadly this remains an allusive condition that is yet to be resolved?

Galatians 3:13-14, 4:5-6, Deuteronomy 21:33, Luke 23:39.

Resurrection….

And not Reincarnation?

This is a fine line doctrine that was much popular in the 19th Century with many in the protestant ministry and one has to wonder if they were really born again!

Jesus was not re-made as a copy of Himself, He died on the cross was buried and our Father God raised Him from the grave in the same body, very much as Jesus resurrected Lazarus!

Today many people who claim a faith in God, deny the resurrection, for many reasons? They believe in Jesus death and atonement for sins, but they fail to understand that without His rising we cannot be saved!

John 11:25, Acts 1:22, Romans 1:4, 1 Corinthians 15:12-13, 1 Peter 1:3.

Veritas!

What is Truth?

Nothing much has changed in the human psyche over the last two thousand-years, humanity still tells lies just the same way it ever has from the garden of Eden.

Sin remains an active enemy everyday in all of around the world, wither we know Jesus or not we will always find an excuse to justify untruths sad as it is?

Before Jesus went to the Cross Pilate was challenged by our Lord in relation to truth and he expressed the Roman view of society that lived on lies, much the same today in our political worlds nothing has changed there!

But God’s truth will stand the test of time and do you believe it?

Matthew 6:25, John 4:23-24, 14:1, 18:37-38.

Stephen!

The cost for loving Jesus?

Most of us will never have to face death for our faith in God, but many do around the world and more so during Christmas and Easter from deceived and sick people who fail to grasp the truth even about their own religions or atheism!

Many of us do face some form of intimidation, insult and attack from the world daily and it is hard at times to love these idiotic nasty people?

We can be attacked even in fellowship by our so called brothers and sisters, out of spite and jealousy, arguments boil over nothing and can lead to bitter roots something we are warned not to allow in our selves!

Stephen loved Jesus and spoke truth’s that the world could not excuse or hide from, very much as the religious men of Israel denied their Messiah, because He did not meet their standard!

This is a warning to us, that we have to try to reach His standards, knowing that we will fail and that love is one of many elements that make up the character of the Godhead under grace?

Acts 7:1-8:1, Romans 3:25, 2 Corinthians 2:7, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:13, 1 John 1:9.

We hope that you can enjoy the Christmas season, even if you are isolated and that you will have a peaceful New Year?

The Resurrection!

The second element of the Easter Event!

It is strange that many people who claim to be Christians do not fully believe or understand what the resurrection of Jesus is about or even believe it?

But the New Testament is full of scriptures that are related to the raising of Jesus from the grave for our Salvation to be completed and there is really no excuse not to believe by faith this event as to that of the atoning work of the Cross/Stake/Tree?

Without the resurrection of Jesus from the grave we cannot be saved these are the two essential parts of the Easter story and they are both important, since Jesus always told His Disciples and the Gospels still speak to us today of these events of being rejected by people and being murdered and rising from the dead on the third day!

Acts 2:27, 29, 31, 13:34-36, Romans 8:34, 1 Corinthians 15:4, 2 Corinthians 5:15, 1 Thessalonians 4:14, 2 Timothy 2:8, Hebrews 13:20, 1 Peter 1:21.

The Cross!

Signpost to Salvation?

This is the main emphasis of the Easter story and the fulfilment of Jewish prophecy in relation to the role of the Messiah Yeshua Ha’Adon!

Jesus purpose in coming into humanity was to make that one and final atonement for our failures, no more animals blood and no more keeping rules and regulations for all like us who have faith in Jesus death and His resurrection from the grave.

We are a forgiven people with the New Life of the ever new and the promise of Eternity if we stay the course and for some of us it can be very hard and costly, but onward we must go?

Much uncertainty remains as to wither it was a cross/stake or tree, but it was all, because when the sign was placed by the Romans above Jesus head we get that shape!

Isaiah 53:1-12, 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, Galatians 3:13, Revelation 2:7.

Preparing for Christmas!

A different kind of Year?

Many governments are still locking down places of worship and making it difficult for Christians, when pub, clubs, and shopping malls can be flooded with thousands of people? It reveals to us that in Britain and many other countries that our leaders are pagan in their idealism and hostile to the truth that points out their own failings!

Christmas and Easter are the large festivals for the Ekklesia, in relation to the birth of Jesus the Jewish Messiah and the Saviour of the world, while Eater marks that important death for the final atonement for sin and the promise through Jesus resurrection of eternal life.

We who preach, teach, witness and share have to be prepared well in advance for these holidays using traditional methods, but also allowing younger believers to use the latest in technology and the Internet?

Our mission field has expanded from the local community to the world and we must not be afraid, but rejoice in what God is doing in these last days!

Psalm 22:31, 71:17-18, Isaiah 3:9, 42:9, Matthew 10:7, Mark 16:15, Acts 26:23, Romans 4:17, Colossians 1:28, Titus 3:5, Hebrews 12:24, 1 John 1:5, Revelation 14:6.
