The missing Piece!

To the Christmas Story?

Many believers find it hard to place Jesus circumcision in the account, because they fail to understand that Jesus also came to fulfill the Law of God and to prove that he was a total complete Jew!

We are now living iin wicked times once more with the rise of antisemitism and misguided hatred of the Jews, because of the situation in the Gaza strip and Muslim lies many are deluded in to humanitarianism and not faith!

We cannot afford to leave out the bits of the Christmas story that may upset us due to doctrine, hatred of the Jews and replacement theology, because we undermine the teaching of our own salvation?

Luke 2:22-24, Romans 3:21-32, Hebrews 4:12-13, 9:25-28, 10:10,15, 20, 26, Revelation 3:20.

Why did He Come!

What is the purpose of His Coming?

First He was the promised Messiah to the Jewish race and the nation of Israel, but later we see them rejecting Him at the cross and the resurrection!

Jesus also came to be the Savior of the Gentiles, so that they could be drafted in to the commonwealth of Israel, while the Jewish people have been blinded generally, but some will still get saved before the day of God;s coming destruction?

He came to fulfill the promises of God to Israel and to the world and this is all of the real meaning behind the events of the Christmas story, so now we have to add this into the message we may be sharing this season, with a dying world all around, offering to them truth and Hope!

Hosea 3:3-4, John 1:1-18, 2 Corinthians 3:14-16.

Understanding the Greek?

More than one Translation!

I think it is very important as a preacher teacher to have some grasp of the Greek, so that we can understand the many words from the various versions that are available for reading and study today?

Even if we are still limited to the King James or Revised Bibles, the Greek context is of great value, where as the Hebrew is quiet fixed even to the modern Israeli and so when comparing verses we will have a frame work built on a strong basis!

What Ekklesia faces today is deception and sensuality, the excuse to undermine the laws of God and to have truth expressed with love, rather one without the other!

2 Peter 2:1-3, Romans 16:18, 1 Corinthians 6;20, Galatians 2:4.

Happy New Year 2024!

Jesus and the Law?

Many unwise believers today think that God has given up on His law and its application in our lives, but as we who have a personal faith should know that He has not and the Law of God is eternal!

Yes we are free from the curses of breaking the Law and its punishment, because Jesus fulfilled this for us on the cross and His rising from the dead!

But the law is still not to be abused or ignored and the ten Commandments are part of the 613 laws that cover all area of our lives, they are not archaic as some believe, because of where we might live in the world and we are advised to obey them in our relationship with Jesus, while also pointing them out to both Kosmon and to Ekklesia?

Exodus 20:1-17, Leviticus 19:22, Matthew 19:17-19, 1 John 4:7-21.

Hearing and Doing!

Righteousness and Justification?

For hundreds of years the Jews were caught in a legalistic trap and they have maintained that now for the last two thousand years, since they are blinded by God so that the Gentiles might come into faith.

We who are saved under grace must be aware of legalism creeping into our walk with Jesus, but I think this verse, gives to us the answer and if we do, what we hear from the word of God we are doing well.

Discipline in the Christian life/walk is invaluable, but let us keep the application of doing right in relation to the commandments?

Exodus 20:1-17, Romans 2:13, Galatians 2:16-17.

Easter. One.

Purchased from the curse of the Law!

Sometimes the message of Easter can be too focused on the Cross and all other events, but not on some of the essential doctrines of the full meaning of the work that Jesus undertook for us by his sacrifice and the importance of that?

The Old Testament is full of being redeemed, since this was both a business transaction and that of keeping a family together, the Hebrew sense of the word Ga’al Strongs H1350 is that of buying back, while in the New Testament the Greek Agorazo Strongs G59 is purchase.

But the work of Jesus on the stake/cross/tree was also to set us free from the curse of the law and for more so the Gentiles to receive the Holy Spirit, that would break the animosity with the Jews, sadly this remains an allusive condition that is yet to be resolved?

Galatians 3:13-14, 4:5-6, Deuteronomy 21:33, Luke 23:39.

Consolation of ISRAEL!

The Invitation to accept Messiah. Luke 2:25.

This passage is related to a portion of scripture that is generally over looked by the Ekklesia in relation to Jesus being circumcised and thus fulfilling the Law.

Without this knowledge or understanding, we later can be come confused about the legal matters that this portion has to do with Him and thus replacement theology takes over to give us a wrong impression!

Simeon gave his word over the prophetic in relation to the baby Jesus, Messiah, since he had been kept alive by God for this moment the consolation of Israel, when the Jewish occupied nation were to receive their invitation to be saved from their past failings in Jesus final sacrifice for sins.

Isaiah 40:1-2, 57:18-18, Hebrews 9:26.

Holocaust Denial?

Historical Revisionism!

How many Gentiles love Jewish people or support Israel today?

Not many is perhaps the answer, then you have some serious problems!

God has a plan for Israel in their promised land that He gave them in times past and that they now possess, there in mention of the Palestinians in His plan, unless they confess Jesus and join the Ekklesia or Bride of Christ?

We must be very careful in relation to what we think we know about the Holy Bible, how we read it and understand it? The Christian Protestant Church is tainted with the false doctrine of Replacement theology that tells believers we get all the blessings and the Jews the curses!

But the Holy Bible never says anything like that and many today who ignore the word of God on many issues will not enter Heaven tax dodgers, braggers, liars, chancers and people who play games with God for unjust motives!

Zephaniah 2:8,   Zechariah 2:11,   8:7,   Matthew 2:6,   12:42,   Mark 12:39,   Luke 1:68,  2:32,   Acts 7:34,  11:26,   Romans 9:27,   11:25,   Revelation 2:14,   21:12.

We are living in dangerous times, things will only get worse and Christians are being martyred at an estimated 250 per month worldwide! Most are being killed for many reasons around the world, but in the west its threats to shut-up and don’t rock the boats of sin and disobedience to God!

Historical revisionism is leading silly people to believe lies upon lies and change history in the continued move of being anti-God! Israel is back in its land and it needs to carry on clearing it for Jesus return! The Bible is a hard book and its hard to be a believer, but we must remember that the world has never given us anything good??

Jesus Circumcision?

Fulfilling the Law and set us Free!

The Law is what the world lives under and to set us free from rules and regulations was the work of Jesus, who we as believers in Him will be celebrating this Christmas?

Many have taken away the emphasis of this part of the story of the birth of Jesus, their reasons may be more to do with anti-Semitism rather than it being just a minor issue!

Jesus came for Israel first and so He had to fulfil the Jewish Law by doing everything that it required, because He was both perfect and sinless a second Adam. If we see this and point it our to others, it will make understanding more of the New Testament teachings in a better way.

Limiting it because its not relevant now, is no excuse in explaining the role of the law which will come up again and again in the scriptures! One is concerned that much racism amongst believers is both a block and short coming to mission, outreach and preaching the Gospel today?

Let us this season stand back knowing the fulness of this season and our own salvation in God, hoping that by our witness others will to come to faith in Jesus the King of Israel and the Saviour of the world!

Luke 2:21,   Genesis 17:12,    Leviticus 12:3,    Galatians 4:4-5.
