The missing Piece!

To the Christmas Story?

Many believers find it hard to place Jesus circumcision in the account, because they fail to understand that Jesus also came to fulfill the Law of God and to prove that he was a total complete Jew!

We are now living iin wicked times once more with the rise of antisemitism and misguided hatred of the Jews, because of the situation in the Gaza strip and Muslim lies many are deluded in to humanitarianism and not faith!

We cannot afford to leave out the bits of the Christmas story that may upset us due to doctrine, hatred of the Jews and replacement theology, because we undermine the teaching of our own salvation?

Luke 2:22-24, Romans 3:21-32, Hebrews 4:12-13, 9:25-28, 10:10,15, 20, 26, Revelation 3:20.

The interpretation of Words!

Woke and revisionism in the Hebrew and Greek Text Translated?

This is as much a danger if not more so than that of replacement theology, which has racked Ekklesia for over 400 years in the Protestant reformation from Europe to America and much further afield in the 19th Century?

What we accept as to be firm or solid is now being interpreted in an alternative way and this is basically to justify homosexuality and transgender and to make out that what God said was misunderstood by the times, forgetting our own times too!

It is a tough area to deal with since many who profess a faith are now open to these false teachings, because of the fear of man, the laws of the land, comforts and not wanting to be persecuted, which eventually because of indifference will come to them anyway?

Luke 10:29-37, John 5:47, 1 Corinthians 1:17, 2 Timothy 3:10-16.

Papal Interference!

With the Lords Prayer.

Traditionally we read, ‘Lead us not into temptation, but the Pope has changed the word lead to let us not fall into temptation!

It may be a small matter for many, but it is just another subtle change that take away an emphasis of being lead to falling into based on the intention or the accident of sin.

The Apostle Paul said, ‘That He did not what he wanted to do, because sin took him over?

He may have struggled with arousal as most of us do, even when we don’t want to, we may look at another, but this is the sin in our human nature and is not of the Holy Spirit within us!

Matthew 6:13, Luke 11:4, Romans 7:15-25.

Happy New Year 2024!

Jesus and the Law?

Many unwise believers today think that God has given up on His law and its application in our lives, but as we who have a personal faith should know that He has not and the Law of God is eternal!

Yes we are free from the curses of breaking the Law and its punishment, because Jesus fulfilled this for us on the cross and His rising from the dead!

But the law is still not to be abused or ignored and the ten Commandments are part of the 613 laws that cover all area of our lives, they are not archaic as some believe, because of where we might live in the world and we are advised to obey them in our relationship with Jesus, while also pointing them out to both Kosmon and to Ekklesia?

Exodus 20:1-17, Leviticus 19:22, Matthew 19:17-19, 1 John 4:7-21.

To Murder.

The definition of to murder and to Kill?

In the Old Testament we have the same word translated from the Hebrew to English of kill and murder Strongs H7523 Ratzakh (Ratsach), but the context is not the same as some just allow and this is because to kill someone could be an accident or one who is a soldier is employed in war to do so. Exodus 20:13.

To murder implies intent, the legal term being Malice after thought and thus we are in sin with God for doing this. Cain is the example of getting jealous of his brother Able and allowing sin to master him and commit the first murder.

The word used here in Strongs H6865 Qum (Koom) Genesis 4:7-8.

In the New Testament we are warned that there will be no murderers in Heaven. Strongs G5406 Phoneus. Revelation 22:15.

It is important to understand these areas in the light of the ongoing situation in Israel from the 7th October to the present, that there must be a definition between terrorism and the actions of the army of a democratic nation and the right to defend the people!

Easter. Two.

The Resurrection!

Jesus in not dead like the heads of other religions past and present, He is alive with His Father in Heaven awaiting that great day of His return, when those who refused to believe in Him will see Him and hide!

The rising if Jesus from the grave is the essential factor for our salvation plan, since we rise with Him in believers baptism to the promised eternal life!

Jesus always hinted to His disciples the way that he was going to die and be raised on the third day!

Jesus spent forty days on earth appearing to over five hundred people, apart from His disciples and then in the Ascension he return t heaven?

In the resurrection we are freed from the curse of the law and we are free from the sting of death!

Mark 8:31, 9:30-31, Acts 2:31-33, Romans 6:5-11.

Easter. One.

Purchased from the curse of the Law!

Sometimes the message of Easter can be too focused on the Cross and all other events, but not on some of the essential doctrines of the full meaning of the work that Jesus undertook for us by his sacrifice and the importance of that?

The Old Testament is full of being redeemed, since this was both a business transaction and that of keeping a family together, the Hebrew sense of the word Ga’al Strongs H1350 is that of buying back, while in the New Testament the Greek Agorazo Strongs G59 is purchase.

But the work of Jesus on the stake/cross/tree was also to set us free from the curse of the law and for more so the Gentiles to receive the Holy Spirit, that would break the animosity with the Jews, sadly this remains an allusive condition that is yet to be resolved?

Galatians 3:13-14, 4:5-6, Deuteronomy 21:33, Luke 23:39.

Consolation of ISRAEL!

The Invitation to accept Messiah. Luke 2:25.

This passage is related to a portion of scripture that is generally over looked by the Ekklesia in relation to Jesus being circumcised and thus fulfilling the Law.

Without this knowledge or understanding, we later can be come confused about the legal matters that this portion has to do with Him and thus replacement theology takes over to give us a wrong impression!

Simeon gave his word over the prophetic in relation to the baby Jesus, Messiah, since he had been kept alive by God for this moment the consolation of Israel, when the Jewish occupied nation were to receive their invitation to be saved from their past failings in Jesus final sacrifice for sins.

Isaiah 40:1-2, 57:18-18, Hebrews 9:26.

Jesus Circumcision?

Fulfilling the Law and set us Free!

The Law is what the world lives under and to set us free from rules and regulations was the work of Jesus, who we as believers in Him will be celebrating this Christmas?

Many have taken away the emphasis of this part of the story of the birth of Jesus, their reasons may be more to do with anti-Semitism rather than it being just a minor issue!

Jesus came for Israel first and so He had to fulfil the Jewish Law by doing everything that it required, because He was both perfect and sinless a second Adam. If we see this and point it our to others, it will make understanding more of the New Testament teachings in a better way.

Limiting it because its not relevant now, is no excuse in explaining the role of the law which will come up again and again in the scriptures! One is concerned that much racism amongst believers is both a block and short coming to mission, outreach and preaching the Gospel today?

Let us this season stand back knowing the fulness of this season and our own salvation in God, hoping that by our witness others will to come to faith in Jesus the King of Israel and the Saviour of the world!

Luke 2:21,   Genesis 17:12,    Leviticus 12:3,    Galatians 4:4-5.
