Can we apply…

Zephaniah 2:3-7 now for the Gaza Strip?

Many of us claim that God has not changes, but that He has given up on Israel and the Jewish race, with just the odd one saved, what a load of rubbish lies based on Replacement theology, which so complicates the Holy Bible, as gentiles first!

But the truth is that God has not given up on Israel and that there is no mention of the Philistines having any hold in the promised land?

Antisemitism is a terrible sin that most of the world has,, but as believers in the death and resurrection of Jesus our Final atonement for sin we must rid ourselves of this attitude, that one knows is common and widespread in Ekklesia!

Deuteronomy 32:10, John 3:3, 14-21, Romans 3:21-31, Hebrews 4:12-13, 9:26-27, Revelation 7:2-6.

A.I. The future of Humanity!

The moral Question?

This depends from what religion or culture that you come from outside that of Christianity and that is why many nations are allowing for research into genetically modified humans as being more suitable than robots on the battlefield and eventually space exploration!

Bur today A.I. is being used in medicine, the nuclear industry and the military, with success, but also serious flawed failures as seen recently in the Middle-East, while the same flaw was ignored in Afghanistan by ISAF?

It would seem in the light of what we have learned so far the high moral ground is being ignored and that for financial gain rather than the cost or the value of human life!

Jeremiah 2:22, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Jude 1:23.

We are abused, but we press On!

Mission and Leadership.

One cannot say, ‘Today that many in the western Ekklesia go through this set of circumstances in the palatial panelled homes and insurance policies, holding anti-Semitic views and much other worldly rubbish?

We wonder why we no longer have revivals and if we do, they are not what they once were! Even one hundred years ago many famous preachers pointed out the lounging of missionaries on the field on the continent of Africa and many other far flung places?

Here we are challenged by these Apostles going out to share Jesus in hostile societies and unbelieving Jews, with very little of comfort, except they had faith and the strength to trust God and in the process we have the book of acts, telling to us the growth from the Way, ‘Hedos to Ekklesia and two thousand years of continued growth.

1 Corinthians 4:11-13, 2 Corinthians 11:23, (Matthew 8:20), Lamentations 3:45.

Christian despair & Depression!

Not a bed of Roses?

The statement, ‘It is hard to be a believer, should not be under estimated, since many of us who are now long in the faith now the pain and costs that are involved as we progress in that race that the Apostle Paul encourages us with!

Ekklesia has much to answer to when it comes to depression, mental-illness and despair amongst believers? What was at one time referred to for missionaries is now widespread in the body, since many of us live in pluralistic societies that are hostile to Christians?

Nothing much has changed from the times of the pagan world of the early followers of the way to modern times, the world has turned back to the worship of nature and abandoned the God of the Holy Bible and many believers are starting to fall away, as we are told is to happen!

But we have a God who loves us and His son Jesus who died for us, we must run to Him and trust to endure and to press on? It is indeed very hard, but the price for us is too great to know give up or let go? Let us encourage one and another and help, pray, financials and a roof?

2 Corinthians 4:8-11, Psalm 56:2-3, Proverbs 8:10, 1 Peter 1:7, 4:12-14.

The HARVEST Festival?

Another opportunity to reach  Out!

This time of the year is very traditional for many, especially in the country side, a time is made to give thanks to God for the fruits of hard labour and farming is a very unpredictable profession to be in with many a sad disappointment dependent on the weather and many other factors such as disease?

In the Holy Bible we find that Pentecost or Shavo’ut was also the harvest of the first fruits and the significance of it seems to many lost with the giving of the Holy Spirit to the early Ekklesia? This harvest signifies that believers empowered by the Holy Spirit will produce fruit in winning others to Jesus!

So which ever way we approach the thanksgiving  or Pentecost, we have the opportunity to invite others to receive Jesus into their lives! Much can be done during the Harvest, than just flowers and food and their is the ability to think up new things to keep the valued introduction and much more going?

Genesis 8:22,   Proverbs 10:5,   Jeremiah 8:20,   Matthew 9:37,   13:30,   Revelation 14:15.

DAY TWO!

The EASTER Story.

Much has been written about the events of Easter, the death of Jesus on the cross/stake/tree are the essentials of the power of our redemption and forgiveness of failures to the promise of the New Life or being Born-Again!

We also know of the much in connection to the resurrection of Jesus from the grave and again the fulness of the promise of Eternal Salvation, but the hours between these two tremendous events are hardly ever covered in detail?

We get but a glimpse of the burial of Jesus, the torn curtain in the Temple in Jerusalem and the lies that were put in place to dishonour these events! When Easter is over Pentecost is the next episode of the Christian Church, missing out the Ascension of Jesus!

Matthew 27:33-66,    Mark 15:47- 16:1,    Luke 23:55-56.

Identity!

‘Who am I?

Most people at some point in our lives stop to think this deep question, probably when we are going through a stressful period? It is a good question to both ask and ponder upon, because it makes us think that there must be much more to being alive and why are we here?

Creation, the universe and humanity are not complex flukes that science wants us to think, it was all by chance? The fallen nature of everything leads to an end or death, but the Holy Bible tells us a different version that is far more interesting than chance and flukes!

We were created by God before everything else was made that we see and understand! In some ways science has proved that we are made of materials that cannot be seen, such as atoms!

But our condition now is a fallen one, because of sin/failure entering in to spoil Gods order! This condition we have is a terminal illness, but healing can only be found by admitting our wrong, changing our attitudes and finding the forgiveness of God through the ‘Good works of Jesus death on the stake/tree and rising from the dead!

Deuteronomy 7:6-7,   Psalm 90:2,   John 17:24,   1 Corinthians 11:9,   Ephesians 1:4,   2:10,  1 Peter 1:20.

Happy Easter?

Chocolates!

Nearly every holiday in the calendar is marked by chocolates of some description and Easter seems to be the height with the empty egg? It is no wonder that we have a diabetes crises with over weight and with many other inter related illnesses?

But the real message of this season has to do with the death of Jesus a perfect sinless man and His rising on the third day from the grave!

Why do we need Jesus in our lives and why do we need to be saved? Most people believe that they have some good in them and if they do the odd bit of kindness this is enough to make credit with God?

But it does not work like that and death is not the end, but rather the beginning of an Eternity in Hell with Satan or in Heaven with God! The decision has to be made here and now, we need to seek Him, confess and repent of our failures and find His forgiveness, believing by faith that He Jesus has taken our place on the cross and has risen or resurrected from the dead!
