Jesus intercedes for believers to be protected from Evil?
Does or Lord here mean the Jewish Disciple/Apostles or generally all who believe in Him after His resurrection and Ascention!
We can ask this question, since the Holy Spirit was only given to the Jews in the Temple area and later by the apostles to the gentiles?
Another way of looking at the whole matter, is when Paul said that we were all reconciled to God through Jesus and thus that divine protection might cover all both Jews and Gentiles!
We are not saved from persecution and suffering, these trials build us up, but we are protected from the influence of wicked things and returning to Satanic powers in this world?

There are many who do not want to know or are blinded by legalism, believing this is enough? But the truth of the Bible is that there is only one way and this has to be made through God's One and only Son Isa,/Isus,/Jesus,/Yeshua!
Jesus was the final sacrifice for our failures, he was the final atonement and our repentance and faith in Him, will bring us back into relationship with God, Elohim, Al-Liylah (Allah).
